Tabata FAQ’s

What is Tabata?
Tabata is a popular form of high-intensity interval training (HIIT), which consists of 8 rounds of ultra-high-intensity exercises in a specific 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off series of intervals.

Where can I perform Tabata?
If you are interested in giving Tabata a try, we recommend searching online or locally in your area for health and fitness professionals that are fully qualified to teach this up and coming type of high-intensity fitness program.

Tabata has now become a very popular form of exercise that has really taken off, so it should not be hard to find the class that is right for you within easy reach of your location.

What equipment do I need for Tabata?

There is no need for any equipment other than a timer to keep track of the duration of each high-intensity interval! This is one of the things that makes Tabata so appealing, there are very low barriers to entry!

How long is each Tabata session?
Tabata sessions generally last for only 4 minutes per cycle – but don’t be fooled – it could be the most gruelling 4mins of your life if done properly to the right level of intensity! You can then repeat the cycle for the desired number of times, generally anything up to 8 times.
